Suffering is a negative experience that nobody wants to go through, and it is morally wrong for people to passively stand by and watch someone else suffer without attempting to help them. No matter how you describe your reaction to suffering, it is not in line with Christian values to not be concerned. Why is suffering so detrimental to society and to a healthy worldview? Because the gospel is a message that brings healing, not just a vehicle for truth. The respect for our fellow man is directly linked to the general health of a nation. When individuals suffer alone, they often become more fixated on their own pain and resentment. Suffering is like an itch that won't go away; the more you try to ignore the pain, the more it bothers you and you just want it to stop. I cannot comprehend how individuals can think that pain itself is beneficial within any set of beliefs. It is a misfortune.A society's response to suffering can be seen as a reflection of its overall level of normalcy. If a society simply endures suffering without taking any steps to alleviate it, it is effectively equivalent to wishing for its own demise. To take pleasure in suffering is to condemn oneself. The gospel not only provides hope for comfort in the future, but also the foundation for living in a supernatural realm where there will be no more suffering or tears. Therefore, the gospel is also about creating something in the future that is too good to imagine. There is no need to suffer through purgatory or anything similar in order to be saved. If we have put our trust in the gospel, then living each day according to its teachings will have a supernatural effect on us, resulting in joy, peace, and a sense of living in heaven. When we identify ourselves with Christ, we become aware of the full extent of God's love. This love is so powerful that it can transform our lives completely, making every day feel like we are living in heaven. Prayer is the only way to achieve understanding of the world and our place in it, according to the apostle Paul. Otherwise, we will fall into a pattern of inhuman world views, which will result in the world going in a direction we don't want it to. We have no other choice but to live from one glory to the next, or we will become part of the problem.
