Throughout Israel's history, God has been able to maintain a dialogue with them through prophecy. God has repeatedly worked the history of salvation as ruler of the Earth. What is God's method for effectively protecting the saints under threatening circumstances? God lowered Himself through prophetic utterances. His chosen prophets are considered to be privy to the future. Joseph dreamed about the future as the leader who would rule over his evil brothers. The story revolves around the people who oppose the prophecy that says one of their own will become the leader. The prophecy is a sign of the blessing that was promised to Abraham, who received the prophecy to depart from his country and settle in the land of the future of Israel. Abraham was opposed by the various nations who did not believe in him. All of the stories in this book focus on prophets who are chosen to prove that God is always true to His word, even when faced with opposition. The settlers would find a nice place to live and dig their own private wells. God had already foretold the eternal kingdom through the private wells. God is making it clear that whatever He says is going to happen must not be changed or misinterpreted. The Bible says that everything we do in life is based on the accuracy of knowing what will happen according to biblical prophecy. God is proving to everyone who follows the story of Joseph that His prophecy was always fulfilled, and that His words can be trusted. The Psalmist is saying that God always knows what He's going to do, and He's always been accurate in what He has said. He tells you about some famous people, some important decisions, some specific circumstances and what you should hope for. The things described in the Bible are all part of a divine conversation between God's inspired prophets. The divine prophecy was either directly from God or it was written by a notable author and it always followed the same pattern of organization: eternal law, covenants, curses, divine decrees, enabling statutes, and promises. The theology of the Old Testament worship book, Psalms, is a good way to understand the history of religious teaching. Many Psalms have words that connect them. The Psalmist trusts that God is reliable and always able to provide the things we need. He knows about things by their nature, so we can trust Him.Ps 94 9 Does he who implanted the ear not hear? Does he who formed the eye not see? 10 Does he who disciplines nations not punish? Does he who teaches man lack knowledge? 11 The Lord knows the thoughts of man; he knows that they are futile."God is the one who has written the history of redemption. God is working to make things good by administering the law, covenants, and curses etc. 12 Blessed is the man you discipline, O Lord, the man you teach from your law; 13 you grant him relief from days of trouble, till a pit is dug for the wicked. 14 For the Lord will not reject his people; he will never forsake his inheritance." Joseph endured a lot of trouble because it was designed to help him exercise his own independent judgement over bad people. Since God made a covenant with people a long time ago, he has said that he will soon turn the tables on the nations that were once successful.
