Let me take a moment to clarify something fundamental and essential: the reality that God communicates with us. I understand that some people might dismiss this notion, considering it to be nothing more than psychological projection or wishful thinking. However, my firm conviction stems from a moral foundation—an understanding rooted in truth and righteousness. If, at any point, God were truly indifferent—if He chose to ignore the circumstances of our lives, the messages we receive, and the outcomes that unfold—then His presence would feel distant, detached, almost nonexistent. But the truth is, the events that occur in our lives are not mere accidents or random coincidences; rather, they serve as a form of divine communication—crafted with purpose, precision, and detail. Even down to the movement of a single particle in the air, these are signs and messages from the divine. If God controls the tiniest particles, then it follows that He perceives the flow of time, the interactions of all these elements, and the intricate dance of creation itself. Each moment, each interaction, each particle—these are all signs, messages sent to us from a higher wisdom, shaping our understanding of reality and guiding us toward truth. Now, consider this: all of our current circumstances—every challenge, blessing, and trial—are part of a divine order. God has purposefully prescribed them for a reason, to shape our moral character, deepen our spiritual understanding, and guide us toward growth. These circumstances are not random or accidental; they are intentionally designed to serve a higher purpose. Without this divine design, we would be left abandoned in a universe devoid of meaning or connection—lost in chaos and confusion. Our very powers—the abilities we use daily—are derived from God's divine order. It is His understanding, His wisdom, that sustains our existence and enables us to act, think, and grow. In essence, understanding and embracing this divine communication and order is vital. It is through recognizing His detailed handiwork and maintaining an active relationship with Him that we find purpose and guidance. Our moral and spiritual development hinges on this acknowledgment. When we see the divine in every moment, we align ourselves more closely with His will, growing in virtue and understanding. Ultimately, this awareness elevates us beyond mere existence—into a deeper participation in the divine plan, where every particle, every event, and every moment are part of His magnificent, purposeful design. Throughout most of my adult life, I have experienced what I can only describe as divine wooing—a persistent calling from the earthly realm that subtly draws me closer to spiritual truth. I was present during events like Hurricane Andrew, although I prefer not to dwell on the specifics of that moment. Instead, I interpret such events as chapters in a much larger story—a story that ultimately led my family and me toward new horizons, new understanding, and new faith. As our faith deepens, these experiences become richer, more nuanced, and more intimately connected to the divine plan. They are woven into a tapestry that reveals the divine’s ongoing involvement in our lives. We face immediate circumstances—events that touch our lives directly—and broader circumstances beyond our immediate sight, the total picture of the world’s spiritual and moral complexity. But God sees everything—past, present, and future—all at once. And in His mercy, we are given the gift of communication with Him—a continuous dialogue through prayer, reflection, and faith—that can influence both the course of our personal lives and the unfolding of world events.
