One of the challenges I encounter in my understanding of Kk's perspective is his tendency to make broad assertions that suggest our compliance directly correlates with our proximity to God. However, I find this notion to be inflexible. Personally, I have found that my connection with God flourishes when I am grappling with my own shortcomings. Why should we not establish distinct guidelines to discern divine communication? The reason lies in the fact that our relationship is with a sentient being, not a predetermined formula or set of rules upon which we can solely rely.
I hold the view that our relationship with God cannot be characterized as a mere exchange of give and take. It is often tempting for us to anthropomorphize God, using human language and concepts to describe our connection with Him. However, the assertion that our growth as individuals is contingent upon our obedience to God implies that He is patiently awaiting the fulfillment of His expectations before we can progress. This oversimplification of the relationship seems to suggest an attempt to exert control over God, rather than acknowledging the complexities and nuances inherent in our spiritual connection.
