For example, the fallen star in Revelation holding the keys to the abyss is likely an angelic figure. The exact number of angels remains a mystery, far exceeding our ability to count. Cherubim, who are angelic beings, appear to have authority over angels in the second heaven, suggesting their territory may extend to the third heavens. Angels, on the other hand, are depicted as having the ability to travel between heaven and earth. This leads me to believe that the analogy of stars in scripture is conveying this hierarchical relationship between cherubim and angels.

Although angels remain invisible to our earthly eyes, they are widely regarded as our benevolent guardians. The Psalms, as I comprehend them, suggest that these celestial beings possess the ability to cultivate a state of joy within us by providing their protective guidance. Therefore, when confronted with trials that challenge our very being, it is imperative that we emerge unscathed, thus bestowing upon us a sense of profound liberation and tranquility, both physically and spiritually. My personal conviction lies in the belief that angels rescue us from formidable adversities that surpass our own capabilities.

When we pray to God as the supreme leader of the heavenly forces, we are invoking His authority over His angels as His army. This belief leads me to understand that the Devil, with his legion of demons, can potentially attack us. However, we do not possess the ability to control these evil spirits, as there are no spells in scripture that empower us to do so. Instead, we are reminded that we are surrounded and protected by angels. The scripture emphasizes the immense strength of the angels' work on our behalf, which surpasses any force on earth, including the Devil's. It is a misconception to think that angels only combat Satan's forces, as they also have the power to influence and confuse the minds of individuals.

When we engage in prayer, we are communicating with spiritual beings. While we refer to God as our Father, we recognize that He works through these unseen entities to minister to us. Scriptures advise us to seek God's help in times of trouble. By acknowledging our human weaknesses and expressing our needs clearly, we can receive the promises that address our specific pleas. The apostle emphasizes the importance of persistence in the Christian journey, likening it to a boxer who understands his physical and spiritual limitations. True Christian success comes from uniting with Christ's power and drawing strength from past experiences of healing and spiritual growth. Our earnest desires, personal experiences, and deep spiritual connections allow us to communicate effectively with God. Like David, we should pray fervently, leading to direct divine communication and practical solutions to our challenges.
