There exists only one sanctuary, one haven amidst the brevity of our existence. Like a fleeting vapor, our lives materialize and dissipate. In us lies a yearning to dwell in perpetual contemplation before the divine. In the eyes of God, we are akin to fresh blades of grass at dawn, only to wither and fade come dusk. The true enduring essence of our being lies in finding solace in the divine. Seeking solace in the divine amidst the multitude, and finding solace in the divine as our sole beacon of hope in every passing moment. Given the ephemeral nature of life in contrast to eternity, each act of worship assumes profound significance. We exist in the presence of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and our true source of pride lies not in the divine revelations we receive, but rather in the personal encounters we have with the Persons within those revelations. The revelations guide us towards these Persons. When we engage in worship, we are connecting with our Father, who communicates with us through His word. The most valuable aspect of our lives is the time we spend listening to the Persons of the Trinity through these revelations. In our brief existence, we catch a glimpse of eternity through our communion with Him. Despite being created in the image of God, we are ultimately mere mortals, dependent on His word, which has the power to return us to dust. If we can adopt an eternal perspective, our perspective on life's priorities will become more realistic. Our current understanding is limited, but through His communication with us, we are redirected from our own desires and directed towards Him, allowing us to recognize that eternity is truly all that matters. The limitations of our finite nature render independent thinking foolish, akin to the behavior of beasts. However, when we hear from Him, even His discipline becomes a source of rest for us.
