This question is about growth, because the challenges we face in life due to our sinful nature are something we will encounter throughout our lives. Sin is more than merely the surface-level actions that people can see, such as drunkenness, homosexuality and sexual problems. These are symptoms of the deeper, underlying sins of the heart. The fact that humans are unable to deal with the internal conflict within ourselves is what leads to these outward manifestations of sin. We die to our old way of seeing ourselves as slaves to sin, and we live in the gospel doing the will of God from the heart. We start out in the gospel. we come to Christ, as we are, with all of our addictions to sinning, our condition of rebellion, and our unsavory addiction to the law having the old relationship as our school master. We are granted full acceptance as saints, being given a righteousness that is not earned, and being completely made whole by Christ's work on our behalf. Christ accepts us completely, despite our addictions and rebellious nature. He gives us a righteousness that we did not earn and makes us whole again. The work that we do is a response to the grace that God has shown us by forgiving our sins and accepting us into His house. We live in a way that demonstrates our praise and admiration for Christ, and are obligated to live our lives as though we are not our own, but rather were bought with a price. This is because we are friends of God and have a salvation that comes to us in unfailing love. We can be confident on the day of trial that God will cause us to persevere to the end.The purpose of our relationship with God is to take pleasure in Him alone. This can be done by using the means of grace, such as prayer and reading the Bible. When we realize that salvation is something God provides for us, rather than something we earn, we will start to feel joyous knowing that we can approach God with humility, even though we are sinners. We need to bring all of our struggles to God and pour our hearts out to Him from a place of genuine love. Our relationship with Him should be based on constantly viewing Him as our sovereign Lord, with our eyes always fixed on Him. In return, we will receive trust, confidence, joy, peace, and love of the Holy Spirit from Him.I am confident that God will provide us with the Holy Spirit in special ways during key moments in our lives if we remain focused on Him through prayer and remain dedicated to His cause. When we realize how our sinfulness is a constant barrier to our enjoyment of God, we will begin to yearn for Him. The joy of being drawn closer to God and raised up to His level will be experienced in the fullness of His love, kindness, faithfulness, and His absolute sovereignty over the universe. His design is the beauty of His being, and He is pleased with all things. He surrounds us with the joy of His being pleased, using us as His trophies of love. This joy that we have in Christ is indescribable and it is what should draw us away from sin and towards Him. When we begin to have this joy indescribable then we will begin to see that there is nothing in this world that has that kind of draw. We will be so content in Christ that we won't be enticed by the things of this world that can so easily lead us astray. If we struggle with sin, it will be a drag rather than something we enjoy. We need to get out of our accountable relationship to the law, because it will only lead us to self deception. We should glorify God by enjoying Him forever. We should live with Him being our all in all, at all times, with all kinds of praise!
