There is no one-size-fits-all answer to the question of what the Devil's activity looks like, as each person's experience of the Devil or demons is unique. However, the author is convinced that they were confronted by the Devil or some demon a few years ago – though it may have been purely psychological. This experience threw the author into confusion and depression for three years. The author spent most of that time crying out to God, reciting the battle Psalms day and night. Having been through that kind of neurosis, the author can say that nothing is more painful than the anguish it causes. The old saying that "the devil is in the details" is often used to suggest that the Devil is behind the actions of all of his "children." If you want to know what the Devil is really like, the saying suggests, just look at his children. But this is not really a direct attack, but more of an indirect attack, through a kind of kingdom-wide brainwashing. I was delivered from a difficult situation by God, and since then I have felt that I can overcome anything in life with His power. I do not think I was ever the same person after that fierce battle. Looking back, I see that it was not really about denouncing evil spirits or the Devil himself. Rather, it was about coming to terms with the fact that there is evil in the world and in myself, and learning to rely on God's power to overcome it.However, I do not believe that we can say that the weapons of the Devil are necessarily dangerous. In fact, I think that we need to be very careful about distinguishing between emotional anger, which may be based on a personal relationship with the world, and true righteous indignation, which is based on a righteous belief in justice. While it is natural to react to danger with anger and fear, the cross has disarmed the Devil and rendered him powerless. We must be in the world, aware that much of what we see as opposing us is already been disarmed and that the people behind it are helpless under the power of evil. Our problem is not that their evil makes us evil, but that it is within us. Many people only believe what they want to be true, without considering what is actually true. This can lead to them wrongly believing that someone who is different from them is evil and dangerous, when in reality they are just misunderstood. Those who can see beyond the narrow perspective of the world are the ones who will really succeed in life.We are able to be our true selves more easily when we have insight and are exposed to new experiences that allow us to grow and develop. When we are living in accordance with our true nature, the false beliefs that keep people trapped become clear to us. What Jesus did was highly influential and allowed for great change. He demonstrated through his actions that love can triumph over anything and his message of hope has encouraged people to better the world. He was authentic and this reminds us that we have the capability to change the world for the better. The Devil has been defeated and we are able to live in that truth because of Jesus. Jesus changed everything by his love and we are called to do the same.
