The determinism of evolution can be likened to having a spirit of death hovering over our land. It's like walking around in the midst of a bunch of zombies. I believe this is why we have so much depression and suicide. First of all, I'm glad you're ridding yourself of this negative thinking! When things are tough, it can be tempting to give into sorrow. However, if you have faith in God, then you will know that He is in control and everything will work out for the best. Trusting in God will help you to stay calm and focused during difficult times.Because if there is no cause, then there is no effect, and if there is no end to look forward to or hope for, then everything is connected to our view. If God created from nothing, then He deserves the praise for all that He has brought into existence, and we can be sure that He will bring it to a good end in glorifying His goodness and pleasure in the event and the thing. If there is anything that exists that does not have a cause, then there is no hope of resolution in the end.If we think everything is determined by evolution and chance, then we may feel bored and frustrated because we will believe that nothing is certain. Without this knowledge, we would be left to think of ourselves as nothing more than flesh and bones. This means that we would never be able to develop a clear sense of self if we only relied on our own perception. Our perception would be like constantly living in a dream. However, God has revealed Himself to be the beginning and end of all things. So, by seeing Him in everything, we can understand our own place in His plan for the universe. That is the first step to finding hope. The knowledge that our future is secure is the second step. The adoption of evolutionary thinking without any critical examination is akin to taking a deadly poison into our system. However, as we come to accept this new way of thinking, the poison inside of us only multiplies. In the end, we will mourn the loss of our former beliefs, and perhaps even turn to the book of Ecclesiastes to reflect on the true nature of life.
