It is important for us to understand our purpose in this life, and in order to do this, we need a clear understanding of all our dispositions. As we move from one stage of life to the next, we come to understand freedom from God's perspective. I acknowledge that we are becoming more and more like Jesus, but it is not simply a matter of copying him as a person. Rather, it is a matter of understanding what it means to be in Christ. Christ is not just a human being who exists in heaven, but He is the eternal God. He is the one who comes down. He is the one who comes down by the Holy Spirit. He is the presence of the eternal God dwelling in us. So it is not just getting through the circumstances of life that defines our growth, but it is seeing beyond the physical. We are required to trust in things we do not see. So all of this definition of God's mysterious work in our lives stands on His total sovereign rule over every square inch of this universe. This means that we can never really understand everything that God is doing, but we can trust that He is in control and knows what He is doing.We are not trusting in something that is ethereal and does not exist, but rather we are placing our trust in a Person who has already accomplished everything that needs to be accomplished, whether it is a blessing or a curse. So that it is finished.
