I have given this a great deal of thought, and I have come to the conclusion that the standard reformed line of thinking does not stand up to scrutiny. I am going to depart from that way of thinking here, because I do not want to appear too dogmatic. I want to be able to convince someone who is undecided on this issue, and I think that the best way to do that is by being flexible in my thinking. So I am going to digress a little bit. First, because if we apply something as a remedy, then it will translate into actuality that all of these doctrines are true. I do not think we can be entirely confident in trying to hear a message. In order to try to understand the voices we hear from within, or the ideas we have that seem to come from nowhere, we can only define their connection to us by how we live by faith. If we have faith, then we believe these things are gifts from a divine power. However, if we do not have faith, it is impossible to please God or establish a connection to reality. This applies whether we are talking about the abstract idea of reality, or the concrete, sensory experience of it.This is why we can be confident that the causes we know to create the image of reality will produce the desired effect. This is a new idea that we can use to create a more intelligent understanding. By perfecting the form of an idea, we can come to better understand the form of God as a spirit. In doing so, we can create a more perfect intellectual understanding of man and his place in the universe. It is essential that we have a comprehensive understanding of the relationship between us and the realization of God's decree of future events. Our hope for the future is what gives us the confidence that we will see it come to fruition. But it is not our own strength or power that will make it occur; it is God's spoken promise that will make it a reality. This is why we must rely on God's revelation, which is a trustworthy source.I do not think that we can ever be absolutely certain of anything, but we can have a sense of assurance that comes and goes, that is actualized as the past becomes the future. The foundation of our knowledge is based on our ability to see the actualization of our intelligence. I do not think that we can completely define intelligence as simply receiving something in a form that gives us the definition of our intelligent form. Intelligence is something that is constantly evolving and expanding as we gain new experiences and learn from them.
