Although God is capable of extending grace and saving ability to unbelievers, He has instead chosen to place His curse on all mankind. He has not only cursed all men, but also preordained that the first man, Adam, would sin. The reason for this is unknown, but it is possible that God wanted to create a situation in which humans would need to rely on His grace and mercy in order to be saved. It is possible that God wanted to demonstrate that He is reliable, independently of any other factors. He may have wanted to establish the conditions and the course of reality so that He alone would receive the credit for saving humanity in time, and for demonstrating that He saves out of His love from all eternity. His love must come from Himself, or we are only left with hatred. The experience of love is one of the great joys in life, and those who do not believe in love are missing out on a fundamental part of the human experience. They will never find true love if they look for it in the wrong places. People may run from love because they do not want to believe in the divine, but in doing so they also remove themselves from the possibility of experiencing true love. People are restless until they find security in God, but in seeking to be independent of God they only end up isolating themselves from the source of love. This argument seeks to establish that man is dead because he naturally inclines towards hate. It is proposed that the act of will from man's birth is never out of apathy, but is always a spiteful act towards God. Therefore, man's will is the proving ground for malevolent defiance against the compassionate God. It is consequently argued that God must take action against this disobedience because man seeks to demolish everything in his life through his independence from God. It is additionally that man is set on a determined path and that the only hope is that God will act benevolently to save man from his own self-destruction.
