I've been talking about this for a while, and I think it's important to have faith. We build our faith by adding to it little by little, and it's like a muscle. However, when we're trying to build our faith, we sometimes struggle. The answer is to use the understanding of law and grace that came from the old testament. This understanding properly applied will help us overcome any obstacles. Because nothing in this life is impossible to overcome. We may experience a setback, but these are just bumps on the road to success. There are many ways in which God interacts with us, both in the present and in the past. This includes both commands that He gives us and acts that He performs on our behalf. While we cannot always earn or deserve God's love, we can nevertheless know that He loves us and commands us to obey Him based on His nature as a loving God. Furthermore, God continues to give us word of deliverance, even though we may not always deserve it, as a demonstration of His mercy and love. The Old Testament establishes a special relationship between God and humanity through the use of covenant language. This is because God cannot simply relate to us on the basis of His goodness, as doing so would be doing Himself an injustice. He must be able to overlook our sins and still demand our salvation, but this is how He has designed our prayers. We are to ask Him to command our deliverance. If God were to do this Himself, then how could He enter time unduly the intricate schemes of evil men who seek to destroy His elect? God must be in complete control in order to be able to command the commands of men. He must be able to turn the hearts of kings whatsoever way He wants. So we see that God wants us to be in our dependence, acknowledging our complete inability to change our circumstances, while still wrestling to strengthen our faith as we command Him to command men's commands. Our deliverance is both a positive and destructive ongoing struggle.
