Salvation is a free gift from God that brings complete acceptance with God based upon Gods work. Salvation is simply being delivered from the bondage of sin, death, and self. It is not a partial deliverance, but it is a deliverance of the whole man for the whole of life. Not only life as measured by time, but life as to its fullest. So that the purpose of salvation is for God's glory and ends when He will fully cover us with His tent, no longer will we hunger, no longer will we thirst, no longer will the sun beat down on us, for He will wipe away every tear from our eyes. How can we be confident of this? Because salvation is in God alone. Before the world was created, God had a plan to demonstrate that He is good. Instead of condemning the first man to everlasting punishment, God allowed evil to happen by decreeing what would come to pass. So God allowed the first man to be tempted enough so that he fell into sin. God's faithfulness was demonstrated through His commitment to allow man to sin, showing through this He is the only one deserving of all the glory. If God was in fact caught off guard by the first sin, then every event after that would be God's reaction to the events of the fallen world. And the word of God cannot be trusted because it was not a sovereign declaration prior to the event. If God does not command any event in this world, then He is no longer God and man becomes God. If God had not previously decided that some people would be saved, His word could not be trusted. If we cannot trust God's saving Word, salvation is not really available to us. If salvation is not available by grace, it is not really a gift from God. If salvation is not a gift, it is really something that we can achieve in our own strength. Some people spend their entire lives in unbelief because they focus on things instead of God. These things can be arguments, tools, or even idols. These people are constantly self-centered and cannot enjoy salvation because anything that prevents them from fully concentrating on God is stronger than grace. If grace is stronger than sin, then it defines our relationship to God in salvation.  We know that our salvation begins in grace- this is because grace is the only reason we can look back and enjoy our salvation. Grace is what allows us to face our past sins and still be forgiven. No matter what happens in our lives, no matter how much sin we struggle with, no matter how injured we are in this world, we can look outside of ourselves and declare that we are loved by God. If we are loved by God, who has already shown His love for us in advance, then our salvation depends on His grace, which is always reliable and ongoing. God has made this abundantly clear. So let each person be truthful, for this is the best way to find salvation.
