God is in control of both good and evil. Evil spreads because God permits it in a decree. God is holding the handle of allowance of the amount of evil and the kind of evil we are going to face and He teaches us by the evil we experience. Even tho we are given the ability to resist the evil yet without God determining before hand that we will choose to resist we are left to give in. This is why we believe in real grace. Because we experience the power over evil by Gods free act of grace. We are instructed to pray that we will not be tempted by evil. God does not cause us to stumble, but He protects us from evil. If God had decided that we would never make mistakes, then we would never make mistakes. But this is not God's way. We approach God with a fundamental problem with evil as the basis of our real humility. Without this fundamental mind-set, we would attribute our ability to withstand evil to our own power. But when we look to God, we realize that it is only by His grace that we are able to resist temptation. This is a humble attitude, because it acknowledges that God deserves all the credit and glory. Therefore, we find that we do not do what we want to do, and we do what we do not want to do. We trip up and experience a fundamental longing to advance our cause from more desperation than if we did not sin. In this way, God decrees the evil to show us how our humility that is gifted to us sets us in line for more grace. We are not fundamentally tied down to our old identity in sin, and we no longer enjoy that kind of slavery. The only way a humble person could say that is if he knew that not only the forgiveness was through grace but the reason for sinners being accepted is fail safe in God's eternal plan.
