It is my belief that there is a struggle between worlds. This struggle is characterized by sparks flying as the worlds collide. I tend not to see the importance of this tension unless I am specifically shown verses that highlight it. When I am shown these verses, it increases my focus on the goal at hand. I believe that perfect peace is a gift from heaven, and it is sort of like a power that rules the world. I think that God is really concerned about each individual struggle we have, from point A to point B. All kinds of thoughts are pulling at us and sometimes the battle is narrowed to our minds.Faith is best exercised under great tension and duress, which drives us to a sense of helplessness. In these moments, God becomes our only refuge, and our good friends become even more important. We must confess our faith in the one true object of our faith, and surrender ourselves to God's will. We are not subservient to any man, but God will take that position when we experience freedom from trials. In peace, we have a confidence that comes from outside ourselves, as the Holy Spirit dwells within us and provides comfort. When we pray, the Spirit is there to help us, and our initial experience that drives us to pray is the feeling that the road we are traveling on is narrowing.TheAlmost-Closed feeling is not a good experience. It is like sinking. When we pray, our inmost thoughts are searched by the Person of the Holy Spirit and the tension is subsided, although sometimes it takes years to get this peace. Then we experience a widening of the road, a leveling of the path. It is the feeling that my prayers went before me and will work on my behalf.I am confident that God has heard me and cleared the way. I have strong infusions of confidence, and I am prompted to act in certain ways. I have a clear understanding of people and situations, and I experience peace. However, the sinfulness of my heart and the spiritual forces of evil begin to take over again, and I start to feel sinking and despair. Then the battle starts all over again.
