The Psalms are an excellent guide for teaching people to be wary of authoritarian autocrats. God created man to be able to govern himself, and placed him in his own special garden. This gave man the power to control his own life, and to make choices that would have a lasting impact on his future. God gave each man the extraordinary ability to control the earth's effects. People were able to rule wisely without having to be controlled by God. The Bible supports our right to make our own choices. God created the divine law as the foundation for complete harmony. This law is sensible and logical, and this is why the Gods adhere to it. The law was very effective in helping to increase the brilliance of mankind. This is why the law doesn't measure the ambition of the reasonable, but it's a declaration of divine blessing on those who authorize it. The law has a powerful curse that is meant to punish those who mistreat it. But don't think that the law has two separate purposes. The law preserves the goodness that God has created, by preventing destruction. Curses generally serve to prevent further destruction because they are the hand of God, the all-powerful ruler, trying to avert disaster. The critical work of the law is to distinguish the wicked from the ethical, breaking up the continual battle between them and justly condemning the ashamed. The curse of the law can be seen in its most extreme form in the earthy battles between adversaries. God enabled advanced nations to exercise the eternal curse in an exciting way, by speaking on their behalf in a legal battle. The legal battle eliminates the opposing illegal systems, leaving a single, unified system in its place. But man was pitted against the most beautiful and violent fallen angel in the individual garden. The devil tempted man with an evil curse, trying to tempt him into sin. The reliable man had never been involved in a dispute with a group of people who were using violence to solve their problems. We can assume that the first temptation of the evil devil was to cause violence. The devil caused man's blessed connection to God and the earth to end when he cursed man. The psalmist knows that Satan's attack as the "Prince of Heaven" was a violent act of rebellion. What endures the most after being subjected to unyielding violence? The deception was so intricate, it appeared to be woven from the divine words themselves. The Devil was the head of a tyrannical regime that exerted complete control over its citizens. Just like a trusting relationship developed between an experienced adult and a young child. The adult helped the child to understand complex issues using sound reasoning. The adult explained the conditions of the care so that the child would conform. God does not use His power as a divine being to ascend to heaven. The word of God is self-evident, and its validity is not based on aggressive interaction between individual humans. The Psalmist is speaking to those who are tempted by the allurement of pleasure, reminding them that pleasure may not always be the best option. Instead, they should choose what is best for them, based on their personal beliefs and desires. We were suddenly faced with an aggressive attempt to assault our souls. This is one of the many reasons why the Psalms are satisfyingly answered with eternal curses. Our estate was a haven of tranquility, free of any active conflict. When humans sinned, they caused an intense anger to exist in the world. Sin accepted that violence and social violence were a way of life, a way of keeping order in a chaotic world. A dependable man is a product of perfect morality, born naturally. But when violence infects the man who has misapplied political axioms with felonious intent, it completely corrupts him. He is known for his disregard for agreements and laws, and for his tendency to break promises. He often curses God. He often breaks laws and disables statutes. The Psalmist taught that the violence we inflict on others is wrong because it is an incorrect application of the law of God. God responded to the misuse of His power by cursing the violator. This is why the apostle urges us to contribute our sin to death. By doing so, we will be able to rid ourselves of its negative consequences.  The psalmist instructs us to curse all things that stand in the way of our desires and in a society that is plagued by violence.
