The Apostle has carefully written the Epistles first explaining fundamental doctrine applying it to the saints in various churches. Consequently, the Epistles are carefully divided between indicative and imperative. But the indicative is also taught in the imperative sections. The key question is does the Apostle go from indicative to imperative without bridging the two official usages of the law? If you examine the text, you will discover the Apostle encouraging saints to view life through the Psalms. Eph.5 19 Speak to one another with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs. Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord,"Col 3 16Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you instruct and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God.

Why does the Apostle bridge the two usages of law by sufficiently learning the Psalms? He teaches living the Christian life is more than knowing doctrine and application. Is the Christian life defined in sacred scripture as two equal truths standing side by side or orchestrated set of events created by God? We hear the drum beat the Christian life is two equal views of law placed alongside. The gospel usage and second usage. We are saying the bible teaches paradoxes. "a situation, person, or thing that combines contradictory features or qualities"  So we divide truths of scripture in things understood and mysterious. These are explanations to make the scripture understandable. They are not in the sacred text. When we view the Christian life through the lens of paradox we divide truth into things clearly taught and cannot be properly understood. If we try to explain the scriptures as paradox, we are saying outside of historical teaching is shroud in "mystery."

The bible is not a book of apparent paradox. Because paradox encourages us to explain, attach mystery to truth historically untaught. But the bible encourages us to examine all of the words and usage as we investigate exactly what it suggests. If we merely teach paradox, whatever we disagree with is mystery. And we can be responsible for applying scripture according to our philosophy of paradox by putting the mystery label on what is clearly taught. Some people will teach Calvin taught two line approach to sacred scripture. But Calvin only mentioned in passing. If we make a strong divide between the indicative and moral imperative both truths are equally valid. In this way we can teach the validity of one truth contradicts the other truth. Or we merely explain the gospel as a series of truths in a process. But the apostle bridges the two uses of law as a symphony in properly using the Psalms.
