Our confidence is firmly rooted in God's covenant promises, which are enacted through His law and reorient everything for our ultimate good. Instead of hearing curses, we begin to discern blessings—divine promises echoing through the language of the gospel. As we meditate on His Word, we experience ongoing conversions—each one a step in the Spirit’s work of shaping our convictions and character. Just as a person learns to distinguish the subtle flavors after many meals, we develop a taste for this divine language—an uncommon tongue that awakens our imagination and challenges our understanding. The Spirit stirs within us a longing for higher truths, leading us into a deeper, more glorious comprehension of God's mind and will.
