If I had simply stopped there, my feelings of gratitude might have been sparse and fleeting; yet, through years of dedicated effort—memorizing Scripture diligently and reflecting deeply—I have cultivated a quiet confidence that fills me with pride. I am convinced that my labor has not been wasted. It is all too common for others to dismiss such spiritual disciplines as mere boastfulness or fleshly pride, but I assure you, whether you are young or seasoned in years, that beginning to memorize your favorite passages from Scripture can be transformative. Let its words penetrate your heart and mind; meditate on them whenever you can—while driving, working at your desk, in the peaceful moments at home, or even lying in bed. You will find that such practice will not leave you disappointed. God is good—immeasurably good—and His goodness is endless. Seek Him with earnestness, desire Him passionately, love Him with your whole heart. Enter into a state of sacred otherness, where His presence becomes more precious than any earthly pleasure. Make it a daily habit to invite His abiding presence—upon you, within you, flowing through you—so that you never go a day without experiencing His closeness. Return repeatedly to Him for renewal; discover deeper joys in your relationship with Him; pursue new, intimate encounters with your Savior. Would you prefer a different tone or style? Even amidst the chaos of sin and the allure of destructive desires, continue to pursue God with unwavering hope. Shine your light into the darkness around you, casting out despair. No earthly love or treasure can compare to the revelation of His truth—more radiant and precious than anything this world can offer.
