Through His Word, God proclaims His grace over the entire earth. He does not permit humanity to carry out its harmful and destructive plans without restraint. Instead, He takes action to reorder society by pronouncing blessings on the righteous and curses upon the wicked—causing the schemes of the evil to fail and bringing about the fulfillment of righteous desires. In this divine system, God's sovereignty is supreme, directing history to fulfill His righteous purposes. Yet, this divine gift is not merely about human moral ability; it also serves as an encouragement amid the ongoing cosmic struggle—an unending battle between divine good and dark forces, between God's rule and the influence of Satan or his earthly agents. As the Sovereign Ruler, God wages war against the kingdoms of this world. The doctrine of grace is inherently political as well as spiritual because, through grace, God advocates for the oppressed and the vulnerable—establishing a political reality that extends far beyond mere religious devotion. Salvation itself is a divine gift—a grace that touches every part of our lives. Everything we are and everything we possess comes from God's unearned favor; ultimately, nothing truly belongs to us. The Lord owns all creation, including the cattle on a thousand hills, and His sovereignty reaches beyond human understanding. Why, then, does God give us this gift and declare that we do not own it? The reason is to ensure that all glory belongs to Him. Even though these gifts are ours, we must not claim the credit; our only boast should be in Christ. There is no shame in praising and glorifying God; in fact, it is our greatest honor. Grace is, in essence, God's way of bringing renewal and new life. Humanity is born into rebellion against God, yet God has granted us free will—an absolute freedom given through grace. However, mankind often corrupts God's salvation plan by trying to build their own kingdoms through destructive means. When people refuse to submit to God's authority, they turn outward and turn against their neighbors, seeking to elevate themselves as gods and subjugate others in their selfish pursuits.
