We possess a powerful message of hope and truth, yet it is one that few are willing to embrace, often clinging to a false sense of security until the world ultimately turns its back on them. Were it not for God's justice, we would find ourselves utterly devoid of hope in this life, lost amidst the chaos and injustice that pervade our world. If we allow the inherent law of God to be overshadowed or ignored within our culture, we risk losing not only our social identity but also our status as a national entity. The absence of a cohesive national identity leads to a diminishment of God's governing authority in our lives and communities. The words of Psalm 118:15 resonate powerfully: "Shouts of joy and victory resound in the tents of the righteous; the LORD's right hand has done mighty things!" This verse underscores the significance of the Lord's right hand as a symbol of strength and power bestowed upon the armies of Israel. In understanding this, we recognize that there are two forms of salvation: the first being the deliverance from our circumstances, and the second being the manifestation of God's eternal axioms, which guide us in righteousness. God has reestablished our rightful dominion over creation, reinstating the authority that was intended for humanity by embodying the foundational principles that underpin our claim to this authority. At the heart of this foundation lies the stone of imputed righteousness, a vital aspect of our relationship with the Creator. The Psalmist vividly employs martial imagery, using it as a powerful metaphor to illustrate God's redemptive work upon the Earth. This imagery emphasizes the restoration of humanity to the sacred covenant of creation, a covenant that entrusted us with the stewardship of the natural world. This stewardship is not a mere responsibility but a divine calling, and the true instruments of this stewardship are the eternal truths or axioms that guide our actions. As we navigate our role within creation, we must recognize that God stands resolutely against any distortion or perversion of His divine law. It is, therefore, our sacred duty to align ourselves with His divine order, ensuring that we adhere to the principles He has established. We must be vigilant and not tolerate even the slightest deviation from the authentic teachings that have been handed down to us. As the people of God, we are called to assert our national sovereignty by boldly proclaiming these eternal axioms, which serve as the bedrock of our identity and purpose. In light of this, how can I fully express my gratitude to the LORD for His abundant goodness and mercy towards me? It is essential to understand that God does not seek repayment for our transgressions, nor does He demand restitution for His boundless benevolence. Instead, we experience profound freedom because God consistently delineates the boundaries that separate cursing from blessing. Our perceived inadequacies—those weaknesses we often lament—can, through His grace, be transformed into our greatest strengths. As the Scriptures remind us, "He does not treat us as our sins deserve or repay us according to our iniquities." If God were to exact retribution for our sins, it would fundamentally undermine the efficacy of Christ's redemptive work on the cross. Without Christ fulfilling the law's demands, we would have no assurance that our sins would not be held against us.
