The struggles we encounter in life—the sins we wrestle with and the myriad difficulties we face—are experiences that resonate universally. Millions of people share in these trials, and no one is entirely exempt from the burdens that life presents. Each individual must confront their own challenges, and it is the role of a prophet to navigate these struggles skillfully, interceding on behalf of the faithful. People are not simply searching for instructions or guidance; they are yearning for genuine deliverance and hope. In my personal journey, I have developed a disciplined practice of meditation that occupies four to five hours of my day. This commitment to meditation has led me to memorize extensive texts, allowing me to maintain focus and calmness regardless of my external environment. As a result, I have established a routine of preparing for work, meetings, or various events by dedicating two hours to meditation beforehand. This practice has been instrumental in keeping my spirit alert and my heart attuned to God’s presence. Engaging in meditation on the scriptures compels us to confront the uncomfortable reality of sin. We must earnestly seek the truth, as an honest acknowledgment of our shortcomings safeguards us from the misconception that the Bible is so pristine that it should be approached with fear, much like watching a horror film. When we reflect on the idea that God abhors sin and excludes it from His kingdom, it prompts us to examine our own lives and recognize that, by those standards, we too fall short. The Psalmist poignantly encapsulates this sentiment when he poses the question, "If you, O LORD, kept a record of sins, O Lord, who could stand?" This reflection serves to highlight the widespread nature of human wickedness, suggesting that there are many sinners who may be more grievous than ourselves. Yet, amid this acknowledgment, we find comfort in the assurance that He will redeem Israel from all its transgressions. We should hold a deep sense of gratitude for God's atonement for our sins; without it, we would be left with no hope and destined for condemnation. It becomes essential for us to reach a consensus within our community, as this collective agreement helps to minimize the risks of personal failure. We must remain vigilant in remembering that the pursuit of approval from others can often lead us down a treacherous path—one that resembles the futile chase of a carrot dangling from a stick, ultimately resulting in disappointment and despair. Instead, our focus should be directed toward pleasing God, for He is the only one who truly understands our hearts and knows what will satisfy our deepest longings. Through my experiences, I have come to realize that no single person possesses all the answers to life’s questions. My discernment has grown to the point where I often find myself feeling frustrated or discontented after attending events, as I realize that we must acknowledge our profound dependence on God—something many of us fail to recognize fully. We live in a world where we encounter individuals through radio, social media, and other platforms who seem to radiate intelligence and wisdom, often leading us to idolize them as spiritual authorities. However, if we were to spend time in their company, we might find that our admiration fades as we become more aware of their imperfections and vulnerabilities. It is vital that we do not allow ourselves to be misled by outward appearances. As expressed in Psalm 16:3, “As for the saints who are in the land, they are the glorious ones in whom is all my delight.” This verse beautifully captures the essence of a deep bond that exists among friends of God, who are united through a sacred covenant. This covenant is not merely a formal agreement; it is a profound commitment that involves standing by one another and reinforcing each other’s faith against any who would seek to disrupt this unity. The blessings we share with one another serve as a powerful counter to any curses, acting as a shield that protects us from harm and nurtures our collective success. In this way, we not only pursue our own salvation but also actively work towards the salvation of others, recognizing the interconnectedness of our spiritual journeys.
