Will they continue to bask in this sense of freedom from consequences, relishing their ability to act without fear of retribution? As they navigate through life unchallenged, how long will it be before justice catches up with them, and their reign of malevolence is brought to an end?

The person filled with pride exploits God’s good gifts for the purpose of undermining His kingdom, and as a result, this proud individual faces the inevitable consequences of their rebellion against divine order. Common sense acts as the guiding law that both enables and restrains the advancement of God’s kingdom on Earth. It plays a critical role in shaping our desires for the welfare of the world, which the nefarious seek to subvert. We are entrusted with the responsibility of governing the world through the lens of common sense, a divine gift that ultimately points back to God. The Psalmist poignantly illustrates that salvation brings about a fundamental transformation in the nature of our relationship with God, shifting from one of enmity to reconciliation. This previous hostility is a direct result of the law’s condemning power, which serves to highlight our innate state of being under a curse. We have been covenant breakers, actively seeking to reinterpret and redefine God’s law in ways that suit our desires, ultimately leading to a rebellion against His divine order. In our attempts to redefine God’s law, we have attempted to elevate ourselves to the status of gods, asserting dominance over others and silencing the truth of God's decrees as if He were nonexistent. Divine grace gifts humanity with the immense and transformative blessing of humility. The concept of salvation is deeply rooted in the core of God's law and the workings of the Holy Spirit, as clearly expressed by the Apostle, who emphasizes that we are filled with the very essence of the Divine. Our sins and shortcomings have been laid upon Christ, granting us the opportunity to inherit His righteousness and holiness. For us to achieve true forgiveness and redemption, it was imperative for God to acknowledge and accept the atoning sacrifice of Christ as sufficient for our sins. As the Creator, God is in the process of renewing all things. The questions resonate deeply: Does not He who created the ear possess the ability to hear? Does not He who fashioned the eye hold the power to see? Does not He who disciplines the nations exercise authority over them? Does He who imparts wisdom to humanity remain ignorant? Indeed, the Lord comprehends the thoughts of man, and He sees that they are ultimately futile and lacking in true understanding. In our misguided pursuits, we made empty promises, hoping to lure others to follow our lead, all the while treating God's promises as if they held no value. When we sought to alter the very fabric of common sense, we unleashed chaos upon our culture and society. However, it is crucial to recognize that God did not grant His chosen people the mandate to retaliate or to put an end to this disorder. Instead, God had to uphold the principles of common sense, delivering a curse upon the distortion of the talents and gifts that He originally bestowed upon humanity.
