The Christian self emerges when we confront and overcome the obstacles that hinder us from fulfilling our true purpose. This self is fully engaged in its mission, navigating the delicate balance between the realms of mystery and reality. It raises an important question: how can we recognize when we are acting for reasons that are not aligned with our true intentions? Clearly, there exists a profound burden or weight that impedes the self from realizing its full potential in pursuit of its purpose. When we find ourselves caught in the realm of mystery, the true self tends to fade into obscurity. Conversely, when we dwell in reality, the self experiences a profound sense of freedom and clarity in its purpose. By acknowledging our limitations, we come to understand the boundaries of our existence. To act justly, we must relinquish any fantasies that suggest our true self can be comprehended solely within the confines of mystery.

Anything that stands in the way of our success in Christ can only be seen as destructive and detrimental to our growth. When I assert that we have the potential to thrive and truly know ourselves through an understanding of who Christ is, I am highlighting a fundamental truth: Christ has vanquished all forms of destruction. His mission and purpose are to bring justification to everything we undertake by virtue of what He has already accomplished on our behalf. In this light, we can begin to appreciate the depth of our identity in Him, understanding that our success is not merely a personal endeavor but a reflection of His work within us. Through this divine connection, we can aspire to embody the fullness of our true selves, empowered by the knowledge that we are rooted in Christ’s eternal truth and grace.

However, it is crucial to acknowledge that not all aspects of what God communicates have been unveiled for our understanding. While we may not grasp the entirety of divine revelation, God has graciously provided us with a straightforward means to interpret the complexities of existence through the spoken word. This spoken word serves as a bridge between the divine and our human understanding, illuminating the path toward insight and wisdom. Furthermore, it is essential to recognize that all of God’s revealed words are inherently Trinitarian in nature. This means that they reflect the unity and diversity of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, revealing a profound relational dynamic that underpins our understanding of the divine. By engaging with these Trinitarian revelations, we can begin to piece together the tapestry of our existence and discern the deeper truths about ourselves and the world around us. In essence, the journey to understanding our true selves is deeply intertwined with the divine communication that shapes and sustains all of creation. To truly comprehend the essence of our being and the core of our true selves, we must recognize that such understanding is inextricably linked to the manner in which it is communicated to us. The entirety of created reality exists in a state of purity, righteousness, and justice, precisely because it is intricately ordered by the flawless communication of God. In this context, we find ourselves, at every moment of our existence, embodying what God has ordained regarding the intricate workings of the universe and the relationships within it.

We possess not only the insights and truths that have been revealed to us but also a deeper, more intricate form of communication that remains shrouded in mystery. This duality allows us to grasp a comprehensive understanding of our true selves, as the messages we receive are conveyed in a manner that resonates with us on multiple levels. These messages are articulated through various forms of expression, including laws, decrees, commands, and promises — each serving a unique purpose in conveying important truths. These diverse forms of speech, which we refer to as pronouncements, play a crucial role in our lives. They are not mere words; they act as powerful declarations that can transform chaos into order and bring clarity to confusion. It is through these pronouncements that we can realign ourselves with the fundamental truths of existence and navigate the complexities of life. Our authentic selves emerge most clearly when we engage with the profound concepts of blessing and cursing. This engagement allows us to discern the full spectrum of our reality, as we learn to differentiate between what is shrouded in mystery and what has been explicitly revealed. In this process, we come to understand the significance of our choices and the implications they carry, ultimately leading us toward a more profound awareness of our identity and purpose. By exploring this interplay between the known and the unknown, we gain insights that are essential for our spiritual growth and personal development, guiding us on our journey toward truth and self-realization.
