We possess greater wealth and influence than Adam because the Second Adam has rightfully obtained everything. As believers in the Second Adam, we do not possess anything on this earth as it all belongs to Christ, yet we possess everything through our union with Him. We have no entitlement to claim ownership of anything, but we can receive all through His will. We have been granted more than Adam ever had, sharing in the fellowship of Christ who is the triune God. With the resurrection power given to us, we can fulfill His purpose. Our authority to rule comes from Him, allowing us to ask for anything in faith and receive it according to His will. We have access to all spiritual blessings through our prayers, but the immense power He could bestow upon us would overwhelm us.
We should recognize that every aspect of our lives has the potential to be fully secured under His ownership, even the areas where we may feel lacking. In Him, we have the privilege of approaching His throne of grace, which is boundless in its generosity. We can bring any request, no matter how small, to Him and He will listen. Our access to Him gives us the confidence that we have authority over all things through Him. If we truly understood the potential that comes with Him advocating for us, we would not be concerned about any external power trying to control us. If we realized that all our troubles find their resolution in His throne, we could experience Him actively advocating for us in the present moment. If He desires for us to govern a nation, it will come to pass. If He wants us to discover something new, it will happen. If He intends to bring glory through our suffering, it is through His rule within us that we will ultimately reign in heaven. God is in complete control, and we have the privilege of participating in His work through our connection to Christ. We are esteemed as kings and priests of the Almighty.
