Men have a tendency to overlook historical events in order to establish their own superiority and dominance over others. They disregard the works of God in history because they are driven to create their own narrative. Men believe that they are the catalyst for significant change and aspire to hold positions of wealth and prestige in society. Many men fantasize about attaining power and prioritize their own self-interest. This devotion to personal power is akin to worshiping other gods, as it places them in opposition to God who detests pride. Men fail to recognize the moral wrongdoing of boasting about their own power, and this mindset leads them to exploit and manipulate others to achieve their objectives. According to God, human beings are inept when it comes to wielding power, and He has revealed Himself throughout history to remind them that true godliness lies not in power but in acknowledging their insignificance in the grand scheme of things. God's ways consistently humble mankind and defy conventional human thinking.

As individuals climb the ladder of success, they often become complacent and fail to appreciate the privileges they have attained. They become blind to their own shortcomings and disregard the presence of a higher power. Their self-righteousness leads them to trample on the less fortunate, creating a false image of themselves as gods. However, true wisdom lies in recognizing the needs of the powerless and seeking guidance from a higher authority. Those in positions of power often prioritize their own glory and disregard the cries of the oppressed. They attribute their success solely to their own efforts and dismiss the notion of divine intervention. Yet, God's wisdom teaches us that all human thoughts are ultimately futile and that no one can escape His scrutiny. True authority stems from recognizing our own dependence on God and using our position to help those in need. Unfortunately, many individuals prefer to rely on their own limited abilities rather than acknowledge that true transformation can only come from God. Their pride and deception prevent them from humbling themselves for the greater glory of God.
