The concept of the self entails the ability to achieve one's hopes and desires, but it is accompanied by a sense of frustration when these desires remain unfulfilled. This frustration arises from the discrepancy between our desires and reality. However, it is important to acknowledge that exceeding the boundaries set by biblical teachings, and seeking personal glory rather than bringing glory to God, is misguided. Self-hate, therefore, is not aligned with godly thinking. In the face of frustration, we either hinder our desires by lacking a clear vision or take it upon ourselves to fulfill them. If we surrender our desires due to a lack of faith, we turn to God as our sole source of hope, recognizing that our desires are intricately connected to His plan for us. We may try to separate ourselves from our dependence on God, but He reminds us that it is through Him that our true self-image and goodness are manifested.
