At the time of Christ's baptism, He received the empowerment of the Holy Spirit, with the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove. This exemplifies how the Holy Spirit imparts His power to us from above. The early church also experienced the arrival of the Holy Spirit, who came upon them with great force and divine energy. God's presence is marked by an indescribable brilliance that renders all who encounter it blind. From His throne, He illuminates His glory throughout the world. If we were to directly experience the fullness of His glory, we would be instantly overwhelmed. Thus, we receive a divine anointing of God's glory through the Holy Spirit, enabling us to grasp the purpose of God in this world and providing us with the opportunity to encounter the power and enlightenment of the Holy Spirit, which reveals the glory of Christ to us. It leads us to realign our hearts and find solace in the loving embrace of our supreme Shepherd. There are various forms of prayer, each serving a distinct purpose. The prayer of petition, the prayer of adoration, the prayer of confession and seeking God's forgiveness, the prayer of anguish and sorrow, the prayer of silence to receive enlightenment, the prayer that transcends worldly troubles and connects with the eternal kingdom, and the prayer of singing and worshiping, all aim to allow God's flock to approach Him and release their burdens, in order to receive the promised presence of the Spirit and engage in the ultimate act of worship. This is known as praying in the Spirit, where God fills our hearts with the qualities of the Holy Spirit. In order for us to have something to offer, there must be a transformation within us. We are empty vessels being filled to the point of overflowing with God's desires, seeking His pleasure and longing for fellowship with Him, as He desires to be glorified through our communion. We are broken vessels awaiting restoration through the sweet presence of the Spirit.
Our hearts understand that God causes those who mock us to become blind. The actions that God takes to harden the hearts of individuals demonstrate His power, reminding them that their own glory holds no true radiance or working power. There is only one God who brings enlightenment to the entire world. We are constantly surrounded by the brilliance of God's presence. When the Holy Spirit enlightens our minds and fills us with His grace and promise, we are able to witness the light of God's glory. By seeking the face of God, we are lifted above the troubles and sorrows of this world, experiencing the divine light of His glory shining upon us. In His presence, we discover the absolute power of God, who can bring all things under His control. As we draw closer to God, we are able to perceive the light of His glory in the face of Jesus Christ. Through this experience, we come to understand the power of Christ, who has dominion over all things and even causes those who oppose Him to submit. Our exposure to God's light allows it to shine even brighter through us, revealing that without His glory, this world would be plunged into darkness without hope. When we approach God in prayer and worship, the Holy Spirit descends upon our hearts, increasing the brightness of the light and filling us with a sense of awe. We are humbled by the realization that God's glory is intricately woven into His providential workings, which have the power to bring about good in our lives.
