Many societies have lost the inherent grace that once enabled individuals to experience a type of freedom untainted by oppressive social competition and hatred. This has perpetuated outdated views of human nature rooted in semi-Pelagianism, impacting the overall mindset of societies previously influenced by supernatural beliefs.

The sovereignty of God allows Him to freely choose how He will fulfill His will on Earth, and He has chosen to do so through covenant. God has predestined His chosen people before the world began, and He commits Himself to keeping His promises as a covenant-keeping God even before establishing the law. Essentially, God operates within the framework of covenant before establishing the demands of the law.

It is truly remarkable that we could ever imagine ourselves deserving the presence of a powerful and compassionate God. We often act against His right to act as He pleases, attempting to control our worship of Him according to our own desires. This kind of self-serving worship is misguided. However, due to God's decision to bless us abundantly through His promises in the covenant, providing all that we require, supporting us in times of failure, protecting us from judgment, and exceeding our needs, we can have absolute confidence. The only alternative would be to rely on our own righteousness, as measured by the law, which would result in the threat of punishment if we were to stray from His path.

God has not primarily revealed Himself to us through the law, but through His righteous standard fulfilled in Christ. Those who do not have faith in Christ will face judgment, as they were chosen for destruction from the beginning. God has the right to choose who He saves, and there is no difference between us and them, as none of us are inherently pleasing to Him. However, through His choice, we have been given the incredible gift of salvation, which will lead to an eternity free from the effects of sin. Our freedom comes from God's covenant with us, allowing us to receive grace abundantly through Christ's work, not through our own efforts. God's faithfulness to His covenant enables us to endure, as He carries our burdens and fulfills the requirements of love on our behalf.

However, we are individuals who have been chosen from the depths of this world, burdened with more wrongdoing than one could imagine. We were the epitome of sinners. Yet, in Christ, all the judgment and condemnation of the law has been satisfied, leaving us with only a loving Father who bestows upon us the blessings and privileges of being faithful to His covenant. God, in His graciousness, seeks nothing from us other than to acknowledge, praise, and exalt His Son, who paved the way for us and fulfilled the requirements of the law, making us worthy of His covenant. We, as the army of God, use the powerful weapon of singing praises to Him, acknowledging His goodness towards us as our divine Creator. His love, kindness, compassion, forgiveness, and patience are ever-present, shaping our understanding and experience of Him as our Father, who grants us grace to achieve all things. Consequently, we are constantly receiving and being filled with the abundance of God's blessings because of His divine nature. It is through His sovereign plan and timing that we are able to comprehend and encounter this profound grace.

If we acknowledge and appreciate God in the mindset of how He desires to be seen, not just through His name but also through His intentions, then we will truly experience the complete presence of His sovereign Spirit. What concept of God could we hold onto that causes us so much sorrow in this world and prevents us from consistently thinking of Him as exalted? We have been given the Spirit as a source of comfort, reminding us of the unwavering love of the Father. When we entertain the notion that it is our own strength and goodness that determines God's plan, we are only leading ourselves to be affected by our misguided abilities, which hurts us deeply and keeps us distant from Him. Our Father desires to come to us with His goodness and grace, freely offering peace and tranquility to our lonely hearts through the Spirit. He asks for nothing more than our trust in Christ. We approach Him not with our own misguided sense of righteousness, but with a heart filled with gratitude and a constant awareness of His continual outpouring of the Holy Spirit, who enables us to always triumph in Christ. We possess a power that surpasses our own will, beyond our ability to imitate, and it is what He bestows upon a thirsty heart in the form of foreign grace. Oh, if only we would experience the genuine love of the Holy Spirit, demonstrating our Father's fervent work of love within us. If we were to let go of all these human inventions, we would give Him the praise that He truly deserves.
