Faith serves as the means through which we comprehend and grasp onto the promises. It is through our spiritual desires that we find the motivation to truly understand the reality of what we choose to believe in. Our desires hold significant power as they shape the choices we make. Our yearning to be whole is fulfilled, our longing for Christ is satisfied, and our pursuit of a deeper connection with God is rewarded. Our desires act as a reflection of the strength of our union with Christ, allowing us to truly know and appreciate Him. The communication from our newfound desires serves as evidence of Christ's presence in our lives. As He himself stated, His followers are able to hear His voice and follow Him. Therefore, we cannot separate our knowledge of Christ from the undeniable fact that He is the most deserving of our unwavering focus. This is the method through which God teaches us. As we learn about Christ, we experience the grace that accompanies the acquisition of knowledge. This taste of grace is insatiable, drawing us towards a continuous feast on the teachings and presence of Christ. Our spiritual desires possess an immense power, surpassing even our physical senses. In fact, our physical senses undergo a transformation as a result of our spiritual senses. Consequently, it is impossible for our desires to be met with equal opposition. The reality of receiving new faith results in a complete change in our perspective. We are no longer controlled by sin, Satan, the flesh, or the world, as these forces become foreign invaders. Failure is not an option, for we obtain what we desire. Our desires hold a value greater than that of gold, as they have been purchased at a price far more valuable than anything on this earth: the precious blood of Christ. With this newfound ability, we are able to fully grasp and embrace all the promises, affirming them as true and valid. This process revolves around a simple focus: our longing to become what Christ is. This is the foundation upon which we are taught to believe, trust, and rely upon Christ.
