Regardless of the extent of our sins, God remains steadfast in guiding us through them. Even if we continue to sin, God will still provide us with all that we need when we encounter Him. He will listen to our grievances about our past and urge us to be patient. Eventually, He will grant us a white robe, symbolizing Christ's righteousness without sin, and we will continually grow to resemble Christ for eternity. God does not guide us through words of wisdom or warnings of failure. Instead, He leads us to blessings and extinguishes our worries, anxieties, fears, and anger with His immense love for us. He does not focus on counseling or warning us as if He were in need of it, but rather grants us the strength to endure and prevents more trouble than we could handle. This is why the apostle prays that we may grasp the incomprehensible love of God. This love opposes our sins, our adversaries, our self-righteousness, and the forces that overwhelm us. This love is embodied in God through Christ, who stands in our place. Did you know that once we believe in Christ, God no longer sees us as sinning without consequence? Instead, we are seen as having a substitute in Christ, and He becomes our steadfast companion. It is akin to having a best friend who always has our back. This friend never speaks ill of us in public, even when we are in the wrong. They attribute our flaws to human weakness. Their only interaction with us is through gifts and unwavering love. We may disappoint them repeatedly, yet they will continue to love and support us. Christ remains faithful to us even when we are not faithful to Him. Consequently, the fear and weakness associated with death lose their power when we experience God's love through His promise to protect and uplift us.
