This is an extraordinary era in history, unlike any other we have encountered. In the past, the Apostle admonished the Colossian church for embracing the false belief that the spirit is virtuous while the body is inherently flawed, leading to a devotion to spiritual asceticism. However, in today's world, due to remarkable medical advancements, we possess the ability to prolong life and alleviate physical suffering, which has given rise to a new form of religion that suggests physical well-being can cure spiritual ailments. Rather than the previous emphasis on temples of vice, we now have temples dedicated to eradicating problems. Unfortunately, these modern techniques overlook the essential consideration of the metaphysical aspects that underlie all existence – the causes, means, and ends of the purpose behind things – and instead focus solely on the mechanical aspects of societal progression. Consequently, any ailment that is treated either resurfaces in a different manifestation or the superficially treated issue masks a deeper underlying problem, analogous to how a virus mutates into a stronger strain when treated. Even if an individual were to adopt the general teachings of this physical focus, striving for wholeness or pursuing the right course of action to achieve progress, it would only result in a more efficient but ultimately exhausted society. Striving for proficiency in one's life could actually be a form of self-harm. A deeper understanding of this physical focus reveals that it embodies a form of determinism, where individuals are compelled to relentlessly pursue doing what is deemed right and to fixate on that excellence without deviation.
However, life operates at a slower pace due to the spiritual vulnerability of individuals towards various unseen frameworks. The underlying aspects of society are consistently disordered, and viewing it solely from a one-dimensional perspective will ultimately lead to the establishment of a socialistic society. When conducting a survey, its accuracy is confined to a specific reality paradigm and is only valid in that moment, as a single event can drastically alter its findings, and individuals encounter countless events in a single day. The crux of the matter is that the overall influence of all phenomena in the universe is multi-dimensional, and the causes behind events occurring as they do predominantly stem from the realms beyond our comprehension.
This is the reason why we rely on scriptures, as they serve as a remedy for the intangible aspects of our existence. The written words on a page act as a potent medicine, combating the ongoing battle of understanding and interpreting messages that originate from imperceptible sources. The word of God not only emanates from physical pages, but the entire cosmos reverberates with divine significance. Thus, we grapple with the impact of influences that stem from minuscule particles bonded together by an enigmatic force that eludes our comprehension, even with the aid of advanced technology. Ultimately, we find ourselves attuned to inexplicable forms of communication.
It is reminiscent of the time before the discovery of penicillin, when various theories were proposed to explain the causes of illness and death. Without a thorough understanding of microscopic organisms, the human body appeared to be a vessel for something spiritual. Consequently, this belief gave rise to a multitude of mystical practices. However, it is important to recognize that mysticism is akin to the story of the prodigal son, wherein any doctrine that deviates from the core principles of grace and salvation through Christ inevitably leads to a different form of mystical ideology. In the context of the 20th century, this can be seen in the prevalence of physical determinism as a modern form of mysticism. It is crucial not to impose a false perception of humanity; rather, we should acknowledge that man is composed of both body and soul, and prioritize the spiritual aspect. Thus, comprehending the art of decomposition becomes imperative.
