Upon examining the Old Testament, one can observe that horses were predominantly used in warfare, symbolizing the power wielded by a nation. This conflict is portrayed as a cosmic battle between celestial and earthly forces, specifically the kingdom of God and the rulers of the world. The hierarchy of power is delineated as follows: the throne, the beast, the 24 elders, the angels, the saints, and the malevolent earthly rulers. This illustrates God's perspective on the nature of this ongoing struggle, highlighting the inherent untrustworthiness of all beings under His authority.

Throughout the course of history, there have been numerous instances of overlapping battles, as described in heavenly accounts. These conflicts often involve a descending chariot accompanied by a multitude of divine forces. David, in his plea to God for triumph, uses the motif of divine descent from the throne to grasp the concept of salvation. Consequently, the Lamb of God is depicted as achieving victory and acquiring the spoils of war, serving as retribution against malevolent rulers. Regrettably, the church of God has frequently been romanticized, neglecting the need for defense and support for the vulnerable. This is why there exists a concealed aspect within the divine realm that is fierce and martial, existing beyond the earthly realm and behind closed doors. God's holiness separates Him from His creation, rendering Him without any adversaries of equal standing. As the embodiment of holiness, God assumes the role of the sole Judge, adjudicator, and ruler of the earth, thus repaying accordingly.

The prayers of the saints are eternally prosperous because they exist in a realm where sin no longer exists, and where everything will be completely transformed. While everything else changes, the prayers of the saints remain constant. This is because in prayer, we participate in a higher, heavenly reality. The battles, hatred, and intense emotions are all present in prayer. The love shown to others is a communal expression, and the worship of God's people is a form of spiritual warfare. Ultimately, worship is a foretaste of what will be experienced in heaven, where victory will be complete and justice will be served.
