Grief and joy coexist in our newfound freedom to think and act within the eternal paradigm of God's purpose. We gain insight into our past sins and weaknesses by observing Christ's ability to overcome these challenges during His time on Earth. Our acceptance in Him becomes the lens through which we perceive ourselves, providing solace from our grief. Through His Spirit, we are empowered to see His transformative work in us, allowing us to let go of our past identities and negative self-perceptions. By being in Christ and relying on His promises and divine power, we can move forward, leaving behind what is behind us. However, we are still aware of our vulnerability to feeling the impact of our weaknesses. This grace is bestowed upon us despite our rebelliousness and the notion that we can attain it through worldly means. It is natural for us to feel conflicted, as the eternal paradigm contradicts the naturalistic and failure-prone nature of this world. Yet, we are continually drawn to rely on something beyond ourselves, knowing that we cannot grasp it without His empowerment. This struggle defines our desire to avoid this supernatural impossibility without relying on Him.
