I adhere to Calvinism due to the unwavering faithfulness of God and my own shortcomings. My belief in total depravity stems from biblical teachings that emphasize the absence of inherent goodness in humanity. According to scripture, we are born spiritually dead and incapable of seeking God. However, through divine intervention, we are granted new life. This is why we uphold the concept of unconditional election, as we acknowledge our inability to choose God, but rather rely on His choice of us. Christ's sacrifice on the cross, while we were still in sin, secured our salvation. Therefore, it is solely dependent on Him and not our own faith. God's regenerative power is what ultimately determines the receipt and preservation of salvation. His predestined plan to save a select group of individuals was carried out through Christ's righteous life, sacrificial death, and current role as our High Priest. As He obtained salvation through His work, He continues to intercede on our behalf, ensuring the fulfillment of His purpose. The success of His plan to save the elect is guaranteed through the cross.

We have been granted irresistible grace by God, leading to our salvation despite our previous enmity with Him. Without His predetermined grace, we would have faced eternal suffering. This grace, solely responsible for our new life, operates according to His eternal plan. Our sanctification and perseverance are ensured by this unresistable grace. Therefore, there is no reason to doubt His saving and sustaining power.
