Faith serves as the means by which we attain salvation, with Christ being the ultimate focus. In scripture, it is made clear that it is not our own definition that determines our identity, but rather the object of our faith. We must recognize that faith, like grace, is a gift bestowed upon us. Instead of boasting in our own faith, we should acknowledge that we bring nothing but our sin, and it is through receiving salvation that we experience the generosity of God's grace and love. This salvation encompasses various blessings and promises, including the ongoing reception of grace and the hope found in our defense through Christ. Additionally, we are fortunate to receive daily sustenance, abundant gifts from others, and the guidance of the Holy Spirit in determining our purpose. As we deepen our faith, we are further blessed with additional gifts. Therefore, rather than fixating on acquiring more, we should fully appreciate and enjoy the gift that is already bestowed upon us.

Believing entails obediently turning to Christ in every aspect of our lives. We demonstrate this obedience by seeking Christ through prayer, worship, and participation in the sacraments. Through this obedience, we come to understand that Christ is the sole source of fulfillment in our lives. Should we replace Him with other pursuits, our belief in Christ becomes compromised. It is crucial to prioritize His kingdom above all else, as doing so guarantees us blessings beyond our imagination. Our mindset should consistently be focused on glorifying God in all our endeavors and finding joy in His abundant provision. It is important to acknowledge that God's goodness is unwavering, as He continuously supplies us with everything we require and safeguards us from harm. All these blessings are accessible to us through our faith.
