The exclusion of boasting can be attributed to the belief that salvation is solely achieved through divine grace. If our actions were to play a part in our salvation, it would imply that we have something to contribute. By offering something, we would then have a reason to boast. Therefore, boasting not only asserts our entitlement to salvation but also portrays it as a means to enforce obedience. We often express pride in claiming that we possess the ability to initiate change. By suggesting that our actions contribute to our ultimate salvation, we imply that we possess something worthy of God's acceptance. Although not overtly boastful, this perspective reflects a sense of arrogance in believing that our efforts are necessary for divine approval. The scripture delineates a clear contrast between an individual consumed by pride and those chosen individuals who actively contend with their own pride. The former refers to someone who arrogantly believes they possess the capability to attain salvation or maintain it on their own accord. The Bible emphasizes that all human beings possess an inherent inclination towards religious matters. Furthermore, it asserts that God has imbued each person with an innate longing to embody perfection. This is manifested through their possession of a soul, which grants them the capacity to introspect and possess intellectual faculties, comprehension, and insight. Consequently, every individual is tasked with the responsibility of either mirroring the divine attributes of Christ or embracing false and misguided representations. In essence, humankind is faced with the choice of either worshipping the one true God or succumbing to the worship of fallacious deities.According to the Bible, individuals who worship false idols are described as being prideful, wicked, and hateful towards God. Unfortunately, there is no hope for these prideful individuals, as they are under God's judgement and will ultimately face destruction. Instead of contemplating the existence of God, these individuals question and mock His presence. Due to their lack of interest in God, they create their own deities, essentially making themselves gods. By denying the existence of God, these individuals actively suppress and display animosity towards Him, using their power to harm society. Any person who refuses to submit to God will inevitably engage in destructive behavior. It is important to note that no individual can achieve success solely on their own accord; they often harm others and wrongfully claim what rightfully belongs to God for their own gain.
