We are incapable of achieving this state of peace on our own. If we compare the way our Fathers expresses love to us with a life devoid of any problems, we fail to recognize the strength of His protection. He shields us when we are surrounded by difficult circumstances. We acknowledge the presence of these circumstances and understand that they could easily make us feel insecure, but we find confidence in the fact that they exist because God is even greater. His ability to keep us safe and secure is a grace that we experience through these various challenges that arise from our earthly perspectives. This allows us to know Him as our deliverer when our circumstances become overwhelming. He speaks to us and assures us that He alone is our savior. This understanding is rooted in the knowledge that God, in His grace, sustains us through His powerful communication, conveyed through the testimony of His Spirit. We find ourselves in a mindset of praise as He enables us to overcome our circumstances and find joy in doing so. We trust in Him above the potential of being overwhelmed by doubt and fear. In these moments, when God bestows favor upon us, we feel invincible as He empowers us to triumph over our internal struggles. His favor is evident in our contentment and devotion to praising and adoring Him.However, He then conceals His presence. Through this trial, we engage in distinct forms of communication. Some of us have never encountered His favor to such a profound extent, therefore we remain oblivious to His hidden nature. Yet, we are disheartened and compelled to navigate through the aridity of feeling distant from Him. Our yearnings for Him become fixated on desiring His favor, expecting Him to provide unshakeable assurance. We long for Him to speak salvation to us, assuring us that through His intervention, we are no longer afflicted. We crave the knowledge that joy will arrive in the morning and be present to greet us. We desire to experience His favor, so that we are not burdened by the weight of our transgressions. We hope for His mercy to manifest through the experience of His grace, rescuing us when our actions have caused great pain. We seek to understand that His love has always been present to deliver us, knowing that He will speak salvation to us during times of potential trouble. We yearn to dwell in the radiance of His countenance, as His divine power shines down upon us from His heavenly throne, allowing us to bear witness to His supernatural strength. However, these paradigms become a feeble reality when He chooses to test us by hiding Himself.We must recognize that despite God's hiddenness, He acts in our best interest. True faith is not merely outward conformity, but rather the belief that God intentionally conceals Himself for our benefit, allowing us to exercise faith even in His absence. It is walking through difficult times and acknowledging that God communicates with us through our lack. Faith involves trusting that God uses our weak trust to bring glory to Himself, even when we struggle to fully trust Him. It entails believing that in this situation, God will ultimately reward us for enduring these hardships by providing the necessary resources indirectly. These moments when God seems distant are actually tests of our faith, and we should not conclude that He has abandoned us. We are desperately seeking Him, crying out to Him in our poverty, and patiently waiting for His intervention.
