The introduction of the new covenant renders the ceremonial laws obsolete. This differentiation between the moral law and the ceremonial law is expounded upon in the New Testament. However, it is important to note that the ceremonial laws encompassed more than just religious rituals; they also encompassed God's standards for governance, such as addressing the societal needs of both the affluent and the impoverished. The law, encompassing both political and moral aspects, as well as statutes that develop the judicial and executive branches of government, is crucial for successful implementation through prior agreements or covenants. The specific ceremonial laws may no longer hold relevance, but their underlying principles serve as the foundation for modern governments. This is why I have been emphasizing that the Bible provides us with everything necessary to lead a life of devoutness. Within its pages, every word carries a profound legal significance. God's word is supported by His covenant agreement, and thus holds the power to either establish or dismantle governments. Consequently, God is at odds with all nations when His word is misinterpreted or distorted. His government always prioritizes the protection of the vulnerable, which is why He disrupts nations that oppose His law by causing internal turmoil. In order to maintain His governing authority, God must establish His covenant with His people and confront any plots against His rule. These pronouncements serve as integral elements of His covenant language.
