The scriptures are commonly accepted as the definitive and pragmatic origin of truth. According to the passage "In your light we see light," the scriptures are considered as the enlightening power that enables saints to apprehend veracity.Saints have the capability to adhere to a structured moral framework, while concurrently engaging in deception towards others as well as themselves. This phenomenon arises due to the tendency of individuals to judge truth based on their personal interpretation of reality. Each person possesses their unique understanding of what constitutes truth, which is influenced by their motivations for personal benefit and advantage. Consequently, individuals find themselves continuously grappling not only with immoral behavior and ignorance, but also with a sense of moral superiority and the pursuit of personal satisfaction. The concept of reality is defined by the measurement of God and our perception of things that do not align with Christian beliefs. Our tendency towards selfishness often leads us to seek out easy solutions or ways to fulfill our own desires, making it essential to align our thoughts with those of God in order to gain a true understanding of the world around us. This self-protective instinct is deeply ingrained in our nature. There exists a tendency within us to harbor irrational fears, embrace simplistic interpretations of sacred texts, and place excessive reliance on human intervention as a means to resolve our troubles. Such inclinations are deeply ingrained in our inherent disposition, leading us to construct false perceptions of a deity that deviate from reality. In essence, we possess a propensity to assume the role of creators of lesser deities. In order to fully address our illusions, sins, problems with others, and deepest emotional wounds, it is necessary to approach God with honesty and vulnerability through prayer, meditation on scripture, and being fully receptive to the presence of the Holy Spirit. Failure to do so will result in a superficial understanding of our sin, while God's intention is to deeply penetrate into the depths of our souls through the illumination of His word. Our personal inclination is to use illusions to ease our suffering through our own design. However, divine truth penetrates our innermost being and not only identifies the issues, but also illuminates the underlying causes and provides the sole remedy for healing and transforming the heart, thus eradicating and erasing the distress. The light emanating from the divine source illuminates our paths and leads us towards truth. This light penetrates the depths of our souls and illuminates the gospel within our most profound sufferings. It purges unpleasant odors from our innermost being and replaces them with a pleasing fragrance. The fragrance signifies the spiritual essence of our supplications. Within this aroma, there exists a divine satisfaction in bestowing upon us a profound tranquility, bliss, and affection that transcends the confines of the material world. Unless we immerse ourselves in His divine illumination, we shall merely encounter the void brought about by our adherence to personal regulations, rather than embarking on the journey of enlightenment that He leads us towards.
