Can God transcend traditional modes of communication, like direct audible communication with individuals? The answer is yes, considering His omnipotence. Nevertheless, it is incorrect to attribute anything perceived as evil to divinity, just as it is incorrect to doubt the feasibility of God's verbal communication. The church has encountered difficulties in determining the genuineness of spiritual encounters, such as hearing voices or experiencing powerful intuitions. Edwards conducted a study on these occurrences, but some members of the religious community dismissed them as fanaticism. The conventional perspective regarding the connection between the Spirit and the Word posits that the Spirit employs language to impart rational guidance to the intellect, culminating in an enhanced comprehension of veracity. Due to the Word's foundation on the notion of the Trinity, the Spirit employs it to invigorate those who heed it. Moreover, the expressions themselves possess sacred attributes, engendering a sensation in the listener as though they are receiving a direct communication from God.The concept of the regulative principle concerns the act of believers collectively reading scripture during communal gatherings. This practice allows for the transformative power of the word to be realized in a way that cannot be achieved through private study. It results in a mysterious application of the text during Sabbath readings that is absent in solitary reading, while also enhancing the impact of communal reading. Additionally, the regularity of communal reading creates a sense of temporal progression, similar to that of music, leading up to a special moment where God speaks to the heart during Sabbath gatherings. This approach embodies a comprehensive way of engaging with scripture.Within the discipline of meditation, there is a distinct method for understanding the concept of God that is distinct from the acquisition of fresh insights or revelations. The process of communication between God and the saint is somewhat enigmatic, but it yields a sense of certainty when one submits to the transformative ability of God's teachings and assumes the qualities of Christ's magnificence. Over time, one becomes aware of the spiritual existence of Christ within themselves and recognizes that He is actively exercising influence within and through them, as all things are ascribed to Him and through Him.
