There is no one person who can centrally control all aspects of society, because this is because society is governed by laws and relationships that are set in place by God. Even if there were ten powerful men who held all the cards, they would not be able to change the direction of society on their own, because these laws and relationships are set in place independently of any individual and cannot be changed without causing even more damage. This means that even if these men tried to do the right thing, they would still end up damaging many people in the process. Society is run by rules and laws that place people in their appropriate relationships, and no one person can change this without causing even more damage.We rely on a system of order to maintain our security. This order is respected by others, but we see that Scripture declares that nations will go their own way. In the comparison here about what Scripture declares is order and what it says about the ultimate end of what man's law has created, we see that God is working on a level of power that is beyond our understanding. And in this sense, man is looking for an individual security that comes from an order of society in which that man can depend on order. People are always looking for security in the natural world, but they are never able to find it. This is because all the security we can find is based on things that are temporary and can change. Therefore, we see that human beings are always seeking a false sense of security that can never truly satisfy them. Security comes from things that are temporary, and as we all know, these things can change at any time. Therefore, it is only through trusting in the eternal God that humans can find true security. This is something that human beings desire, but it is impossible for them to achieve unless they have a proper respect for the all-powerful God. We are looking for order, but it appears to be only found in the next world. So, in order to maintain justice in this world, we must hope that it will be extended into the next. If God is eternal, then His order and justice go beyond time. This is why the Bible says to put your hope in things above, rather than on the things of this world. Live your life in accordance with heavenly things, and find order by trusting in Jesus Christ. We can be confident that order is coming, because we stand on the rock of absolute order that is already here. So, let us not be afraid.
