There is gratification in witnessing events, whether from human perspectives or from God's. I do not believe that God intervenes in events purely for the sake of separating Himself from humanity, but so that there is goodness on earth. We may not always get pleasure from recollecting events poorly, for this destroys us, but God identifies with humans in saving them through all events. In some way, God participates in preventing and allowing one wicked man to be brought down so that His purposes may be made evident to be good. There should always be a positive outlook on history, as it is a tool for learning and growth. The heathens believe that the divine is communicated to the world in a way that is designed to deceive people. This was purportedly the case among the ancient nations, where the heathens recognized the Lord had done great things for the saints – even though naturally they may not believe they were true. This has a positive impact on people because they need to have confidence by witnessing God is good. The curse can have a powerful effect, capable of causing great destruction. However, it can also be a helpful tool in understanding the relationship between people and God. We have faith that God is able to use the curse to protect saints and bring them closer to Him, despite the destructive power it may have. Prophets used powerful prophecies to communicate this truth to their audiences. The curse has a restraining effect on the prophetic view for God's goodness in the event. This is what the prophets were trying to communicate with their powerful prophecies. The prophets moved events in the wisdom books in order to provide a powerful message that God is always good in the history of redemption.
