The seal was originally a pact between the king and God in which the latter promised to protect the former. The agreement allowed the king to consult with God on when to go to war and whether or not the outcome would be successful. This was God's way of governing the world by applying His law through destroying Israel's enemies. The seal served as a means for the king to receive guidance from God and ensure his own safety. The seal is not just an agreement, but it is also the ability to pronounce the word of judgement that is backed up by God. A king enjoys his successful rule by being taught by God how to pronounce the word of judgement. There is no one on Earth or in the universe who is equal to God. He has always been successful as the governor of the world, because He has a plan that cannot be changed. He has made a covenant with saints that cannot be broken, and He has spoken His word that always comes true. If He wanted to, God could have renewed the Earth and humanity and ruled without sin, but He decided to give humanity the authority to rule the Earth instead. In the creation covenant, God made a promise to the king that He would be successful. This promise was like a leader making a proclamation to his subjects, telling them that they will be successful. But how did God provide man with the ability to be successful? He did it through His seal, which He gave to the king. But God also established His throne over the whole earth. In His eternal wisdom, God knew that He would ultimately create success throughout history. He would do this by creating and re-creating all things, using His words to bring things into existence and overturning man's designs. In this way, God would display His glory to all. From God's eternal counsel came the perfect order of spoken words. As the absolute authority, God has the power to pronounce blessing and cursing, which He uses as His creative tool. He has provided us with His governing authority so that we can rule the earth. According to God's word, we experience God's unity of purpose. We rise up to the weight of God's pronouncements in blessing and cursing and we experience a God consciousness. We experience mystery. This kind of experience is the same infusion of power that God gave His kings when they enjoyed God's seal to be successful in war.
