The gospel is a straightforward message that is easy to understand. Just put your trust in Jesus Christ, and He will save you. This can be difficult to comprehend, as we can get wrapped up in the intricate details of scripture. However, when we receive salvation from Christ, it is through the power of the Holy Spirit. This means that the whole truth of scripture is available to us, even if we don't know it all. Additionally, another person could have knowledge of the gospel but not be saved, due to their lack of trust in Christ. The experience of oneness is a fundamental truth of the Christian faith. It is what allows us to understand the nature of God, and it is through understanding God that we can grow into maturity. Just as a baby's body needs to be fed daily with food in order to survive, so too our spiritual growth requires an ongoing supply of the bread of life. This bread is found like the body and blood of Christ. Just as physical nourishment is necessary for our physical body, so too spiritual nourishment is necessary for our spiritual growth. Christ is our perfect food, and through Him we can grow into maturity. When examining the successes of evangelical missionaries in different parts of the world, it is easy to be impressed by their successes. However, when we look more closely, we see that the principles of spiritual growth that apply to all Christians, no matter where they live, are the same. All of us have the opportunity to experience growth in our faith, when we openly discuss our differences and with respect.
