The Christian faith provides believers with a comprehensive understanding of the world and their place within it, as well as a comprehensive understanding of the Bible. This is because Christians believe that God created humanity and therefore knows best how humans should live their lives. Furthermore, Christians also believe that God has given them the power they need to live according to His commands through His promises. This power is similar to electricity in that it needs both positive and negative elements to function properly. Therefore, Christians rely on the positive message of the gospel to guide and protect them from the negative aspects of the world. If the apostle Paul was motivated primarily by self-interest, he would have devoted more attention in his epistles to drawing attention to the ways he had harmed others and stressing the importance of not assuming one's wrongdoings will be forgotten. However, because the apostle Paul believed that the gospel was the only message that could ultimately transform a person, he placed all his trust in the gospel, knowing that it would be the ultimate deciding factor that would bring true resolution. Consequently, the apostle Paul was able to maintain a blessed state, confident in the efficacy of the gospel. The apostle remained committed to his beliefs in the face of all opposition, because he firmly believed that a blessed man was protected from the curses of the gospel by the power of God alone. He was confident that God would keep him safe from harm, and he was not afraid of what his accusers might do to him. The apostle was confident that the gospel would ultimately triumph, despite the challenges and difficulties he was facing. He was willing to endure these accusations in order to be a source of strength and encouragement to sinners who were saved by grace. In this way, he avoided the cursed life.
