Salvation is not just about having faith and being intelligent. It's also about having a view of the glory of Christ, which is the most beautiful thing in the world. We can have this view while we are in this body of death. In other wordswe have a responsibility to see the world as it truly is, rather than through the lens of our own limited perspective. This gap between our view of the world and reality can have a profound impact on our ability to effect change. There seems to be a lot of tension and conflict between Christ and the world. It's almost as if the world is trying to corrupt us and turn us against each other. However, by getting to know Christ and learning from him, we can break free from our corruption and live peacefully with others. And as we have been taught by our Lord Himself, that seeing and worshiping Him brings us to a place where we are looking on that work in HIs eternal Sonship, as being a work, that as we compare all other works, in themselves, is the difference between love and hate. we see that it is the most excellent and worthy of our praise and worship.Unless we understand Christ in a way that leads to salvation, we would never understand the relationship we have with love and hate. That is why, in His exalted position as our mediator, we see Him in such a way that all other objects are as if we hate them. In our view of Christ in His divine beauty, it is incumbent for us to come to a place where all other objects are ugly as compared to His divine beauty. His work on the cross brought love and hate together, and now in Christ all of the redemptive workings overshadow the condemnation, because He has not come to condemn the world but to savet. As we read about Christ in the Bible and are transformed from one degree of glory to another, we will begin to see the world, the people in it, and everything else in a completely different light. Our circumstances will no longer have the same hold over us. The beauty of Christ's salvation is entirely due to His work, and not the work of any messenger.Because of His work on our behalf, we are given salvation. His perfect work makes Him the most beautiful object of our affection, to the point where nothing else even comes close to His beauty. In comparison to Him, we are all straying from the good and not doing anything worthwhile. This experience can help us to improve our mood and outlook on life. It is through constantly experiencing things like this that we can begin to see the reality of our place in the world and our place in eternity. All the positive changes in our lives will not be fully experienced until we have an understanding of the nature of these things. This is different than just learning about these things through the written word, as experiencing them firsthand allows us to see them in a new light..What transforms us from spiritual infants to young men and then to mature adults is the experience we have of these truths in the divine realm, as they come to us in the power of God. We begin to understand the nature of these truths and not just from a moral system of philosophy. As we are raised up from our natural deadness, we begin to love being raised up, and we begin to hate being naturally dead. When we are raised up by God, we move from our natural state of deadness to His divine state of aliveness. When we look at ourselves from this perspective, we begin to hate ourselves with a good hatred, because we are seeing ourselves as God sees us. This self-image is becoming alive to reality. In the reality of our position in this universe, the nearness between the physical particles under God's present nature is compared to the unfathomable amount of blindness we have of His glorious beauty. If our spiritual eyes could be open, we would only see Him and all other things and people would fade away into the distance. In the beatific vision, we experience a reversal of our senses. Not only do we come to our senses and see Christ as our all in all, but we also begin to hate everything in this world as compared to Him.It is because we do not treat the things in this world as being neutral, but instead see them as a hindrance, that we begin to live in the reality of God. Our self image is formed by the experience of the nature of eternal things, so we can face reality.
