The wisdom books tell us that God will bless those who meditate on His word. His word is not merely a way for the righteous to live, but it is life itself. So when the word is spoken, it is a pronouncement from the King that all earthly rulers will be held to this one rule. Because the word is the one rule of God, it is the only legitimate answer to the soul of man. In other words, when we speak God's word, we are declaring His sovereignty and authority over all other earthly rulers. This is the only way to truly bring life and blessing to our souls.The word of God is the source of all blessings in a man's life because it is the only means through which we can be spiritually regenerated and begin to grow. The word provides us with the only reality of the understanding of the blessed life as opposed to the cursed life. The reason the word is the only answer is because it is a promise of God that we can never be shaken. So the word gives us the only conviction that God is always faithful.The importance of following the advice of the word cannot be overstated, as it is the only wisdom we have been given to improve our lives. The word is the only spiritual guide that can provide us with the means to live a fulfilling life. The only other option is to rely on dead idols that cannot speak, hear, touch, or taste, and are unable to walk. The word of God provides believers with a single path to walk on in order to obtain salvation. This path is called the path of blessing, and it leads the righteous man through many problems but the Lord delivers him from them all. How does the Lord deliver the righteous man from all of his problems? The word speaks to us in the morning and in the night through the guidance of the Holy Spirit. This guidance provides us with hope because people always ask who can show us any good? The unenlightened man is a man without faith. In response to this, we say, "Let the light of your face shine upon us, Lord." There is a response in us to the light of God's countenance, which fills us with joy greater than when we are surrounded by abundance. The word is the only thing that can truly satisfy a man and lead him down the path of blessings.
