God wants us to experience a deep spiritual identification with Christ in our lives. He is not trying to force us to have two separate lives, one public and one private. There are some distinctions that work in our favor to protect us from our potential exposure in our private sins. We don't share things that are private in a public forum. I am talking about knowing what we believe and living fully free to be who we are in Christ, even in our private sins.We live our lives in both the public and private spheres, trying to glorify God and enjoy Him forever. However, the temptations we face are greater when no one is watching. These sins are only important because they're done in front of God, who sees both our public and private lives. God is working with us to protect us, just as a father would protect his children. If we live according to the principles of public or private morality, we will die according to the principles. So when we're struggling in private, we have the opportunity to start over again at any time.Since private struggles are usually more likely to lead us into sin than public struggles, God is trying to get us to live by the grace of acceptance by relaxing in every area of our lives. What makes us go into private and feel like we must expose our private lives is this relation we have to guilt, which is an imagined fear that exposure will make us more able to deal with ourselves. But God is always the same, no matter how we think He is like us. His acceptance is always the same. And if we enjoy Him, our tendency to live in a private life and a public life will cease.
